Little bit of Lace

I know a lot of people who will only leave lace for special occiasions. I'm not quite sure why...{shrugs shoulders}

I wear it with everything {seriously, I have no shame}. The great thing about lace is the obvious, it's pretty and is usually a staple for slightly more formal occasions, but what most people don't realize is you can easily dress down lace for more causal day trips.

For instance the below dress, paired with heels, nice jewelry and a bolero or blazer, it would be great for a formal occasion. For everyday causal...sandals, a side braid, a fedora, fun jewelry {that doesn't have to match the outfit or each other - think of them as talking points}, and a great bag, I'm ready for a day of fun {insert shopping day here}.
For cooler evenings or the office, pair with a jean jacket and you will be set.

Remember to have fun with your wardrobe. Take one piece that you NEVER wear because you bought it for that one time, you went to that one wedding, and think about how you can dress it down. I look at it like a challenge and the minute you get your first compliment, causally say, "Oh this old thing, just something I pulled out of my closet". {grin}

Enjoy!

Things I'm in love with...

I do a lot of shopping for my job. I usually have at least 100 pictures in my iPhone of my most recent trip where I can pull up the most recent items at J.Crew, Banana, Anthro, LOFT...OK, you get the point. I'm the girl that can usually say where your outfit is from, probably when it set on the floor of said store, and how much it was. During these shopping trips (and that online competitive shopping) I find myself making a mental checklist of items that I want...more like NEED. Here are a few I'm lusting after for the moment.

Can you tell it's too hot out in MKE to take outfit pictures. I'm pretty sure it's even hot in the A/C. I'm not sure how the "South" does it!

Enjoy!

I'm stalking this red lace skirt on the Anthro site. It's amazing and the minute it goes on sale {if I don't cave sooner} it will be mine!

Love this Stella & dot bracelet. Available in silver and gold :)

Hunter Wellies. Who says you can't look cute when it rain?!

I'm pretty sure I'm obsessed with this bracelet at J.Crew. I dream over it in the case on every shopping trip. I'm green with envy every time I see it on someone's blog.

There are more, but I'm going to stop before I start online purchases and blame it on being delusional from the heat :)

Little Lace Dress

Gotta love a dress that you can pair with a blazer and wear to work and then also wear out at night. I pair a lot of things with my suit coat {who wears suits to work anymore?!} and just roll up the sleeves to make it less, boring {grin}. What's your favorite things to wear with your suit coat?
