I'm all about using old wardrobe items. This whole outfit was pulled from my closet {roll your eyes all you want who have seen my closet}, but it's all {gasp} old. I've had this skirt for at least a year, the tank is just from Target, the purse is a no name from Chicago, shoes from last year Kohl's. Nothing really too exciting, but paired together right {don't forget the smile and confidence} it's a pretty great outfit.
I read a quote recently saying that fashion isn't about wearing all designers, it's about expressing yourself. I couldn't agree more.
I find so many people who are afraid to take chances with what they wear. Why? I'm not sure. I'm the girl who chops her long hair off in a second {it grows back} and will wear just about anything. I used to care so much what people thought about me, worried I might embarrass myself with bad choices, but the older I get, the less I care {imagine me at 40 - scary!}.
It's just clothes. Have fun, mix it up, it doesn't have to be new, it doesn't have to be designer, hell, it doesn't even have to match some of the time! And if you have a question, ask someone. You would be surprised how many times I go to work and ask which shoes I should wear for the day. Don't have anyone to ask?
Email me. I love helping!
On that note...I'm leaving you with one of my favorite fashion quotes:
"Style is knowing who you are, what you want to say and not giving a damn."
