Must See: Charles James exhibit @ the Chicago History Museum

If you have a chance before April 16th, be sure to check out the latest fashion exhibit at the Chicago History Museum on Charles James. I had the chance to see the Dior exhibit they had a few years back and you will not be disappointed.

@ChicagoMuseum describes Charles James as "one of the most innovative minds in fashion. Although his talent is legend, surviving examples of his work are so rare that James's real genius is widely misunderstood. Discover James's roots in Chicago and his efforts to preserve his legacy".

Charles James is most famous for his sculpted ballgowns made of lavish fabrics and to exacting tailoring standards.

The Chicago History Museum was recently renovated in 2006 and had interactive exhibits and is easily done within an afternoon. Where else can you can see pop culture, learn about the Chicago fire, fashion, and sit in Chicago's first Pioneer Locomotive, "L" Car No. 1?

For more information about the Chicago History museum visit their website for ticket prices, special exhibits, and hours.
